| So what does everyone think of the puma pps 22. I saw one at the local gun shop and looks nice. anyone have one yet? I would like to get some feed back before buying another almost $600 .22. |

I can't seem to get any information about it. I'm mostly interested in knowing if the fcg is compatible with my old Mitchell/Pietta PPS50. I've been needing a replacement fcg for years but haven't wanted to buy a whole new rifle to scavenge the parts from. I also want to know if the drums and mags are compatible. It sure looks like they are.
My PPS50 was one of the most fun guns in my collection until it stopped running due to cheap and worn FCG parts. |

I had one of them for a short time recently-got it for a good price, sold it for a price I couldn't pass up and knew new ones were coming.
While wandering around a gunshow with it, I couldn't help but notice that the reciever and all the parts on it were IDENTICAL to the Henry survival rifles and other tube guns of that ilk. You would do well to look into it. OP: Mine shot fine until I gummed it up with Aguila ammo. Never got to shoot it after cleaning it. If you get a drum with it, you definitely want to make sure you get a loader as it's impossible to get all 50 rounds in by hand. |

I think it depends on the model. I've read about the drums that required a loader but I can load 50rds into mine just fine with my thumb. Maybe they're harder when new.
I have a henry survival rifle and the FCG is not interchangeable. I've been going back and forth with LSI and they seem to think the new FCG's will fit in the old mitchell/pietta guns. I am pretty psyched about that! Also happy that mags will be available. Until now the mags and drums were priced insanely high because they were rare. |
