| I want to get some glass for a 10/22 build and I am bewildered by the wide variety of options. I prefer a Mil Dot and a illuminated reticule would be a real plus other than that I simply don't know I have little experience with optics. I do know that cheap Chinese made scopes take up a lot of room in my spare parts box and I am tired of wasting money on optics. What do you guys prefer for a scope around$200? |

I put a Nikon 2 X 7 X 32 scope on my 10/22. Looks good and is a super scope. I highly recommend one. Walmart sells them at a good price.

Leupold.
Leupold has a line of .22 scopes. You can get either a 4x or a 2-7x for the kind of money you are talking about spending. Calbela's - $199 Don't buy cheap scopes. I see you already found out about the false economy of buying cheap scopes. I have two of the 2-7x and one 4x. I really like them. I chose the 2-7 over the 3-9 because I don't want an ajustable objective. IMO that is just an unnessessary pain in the ass. I have one mounted on a 10/22 clone, one on a Beeman R1 air rifle. The 4x is patiently waiting for my next 10/22 clone SBR build (12" barrel). |
