i would like to build a target 10/22.  My plan was to buy a stock blued 10/22.  I was just going to use the reciever out of it and use the rest as spare parts for my old 10/22.  I like the wood fajen stock that i like and i was going to add an aluminum bedding block that i saw i could order.  I want to replace the tigger.  Are there any suggestions?  Barrels is where i feel that i need help.  I know that the lilja barrels are good but pricey.  what about the shilen or hart?  i want something more than a butler creek or a adams&bennet.  Any suggestions?   thanks

Green mountain and E.R. Shaw make good barrels for the money.

If you want light weight you Might consider majestic arms aluma lite.

Volquartsen and Kidd are both excellent barrels but they cost twice as much as Gm and Shaw.

We have a pretty good selection on our website. i am sure others will offer an opinion as well

The best trigger is the kidd trigger very pricey.

The volquartsen trigger is real good also.

You can get a volquartsen hammer and cut your trigger weight in half.

If you are buying a new 10/22 try to find one without the new plastic trigger housing.
Ruger has gone to this. i would rather have the old aluminum ones. Otherwise keep it for spare parts and buy a complete trigger.

I cant see putting quality aftermarket parts in to the plastic housing.
