Lets start the debate...

The Evolution or the Nordic
Which is better built, handles better is built better basically which one is worth the money?
Lets not flame each other but keep it objective, lets have people who have actually handled both of these answer.
So...Who here has handled both of these builds, what did you think?
Thanks

Can you even get the evolution? Game over

If you could

Nordic=cheaper, lighter, tube options, full length rail. Really no comparison Nordic wins.

Agreed

Last I talked to B.P. Precision, they wouldn't have any for a few months. Besides, after seeing the Nordic, why would you want anything else?

The Nordic is $190 at Brownells if you have the C&R discount.

Not argue but compare apples the base evo unit  is 199 and the base nordic unit is 220
if you start adding to them then the price goes up of course.
I know the evos have not been in stock but doesn't that tell you of demand? I bet the nordic is going to be the same as it looks very cool.
I am partial to the nordic but I am trying to get folks who have actually handled both (as I have only see the pics)  to tell us of the fit finish and feel factor.
Thanks

My cousin has the rb precision, very nice, just heavy I thought. What is the weight diff? I have the tapco for now, I like it, but would consider upgrading to one of these. I will keep my eye on this post.

OK
I have both in stock ready to ship
I have built both and shown both at gun shows

Here is some things to consider

The RB precision will cost less to build
We sell the kit for 199.00 delivered
pistol grip included
fore end included with 7" rail
all you need to buy is butt stock
(This could go as cheap as 25.00 to whatever you want to spend)

The contruction is excellent.
These are the new generation ones. You can tell by the 5 lines in the fore end.
They will accept volquartsern receivers
You can mount a 11 1/2 scout rail and YHM flip up sight to shoot open sights
( 11 1/2 is not ideal length for open sight but you can do it)

You can  add extra rails to the forend
4" 15.00
7" 17.00

Comes with one Yankee Hill swiveling sling stud on bottom of unit, suitable for bi pod or sling mounting

So lets compare the cost
RB Precision             199.00
4 pos but stock             25.00
4" bottom rail              15.00
2x 7' side rail (17.00)   34.00
total with 4 rails            273.00 free shipping

If you don't want rails it is even cheaper

The Nordic kits is closer to the look and feel of the Ar15
Law enforcement and military prefer it because it can be configured like their ar15 for training and practice with cheap ammo.

Nordic Stock           224.95
4 pos butt stock       25.00
pistol grip                 5.00
YHM 9.2 LTWT Rail   99.00
total                       353.95
It is cheaper if you go with free float tube no rails but not as cheap as the evolution.

So which is better.
That depends on what you want.

This is what we find doing gun shows in Texas

The causal 10/22 owner prefers the Evolution. It cheaper and gives them a tactical looking 10/22

The Ar 15 owners prefer the Nordic because it looks more like their ar 15 and if they have a 10/22 laying around it is cheaper than buying a dedicated 22lr ar15 upper.

The addicted 10/22 builder wants both.

Dads buying for sons. (Amazing how I justify buying guns for my children. I will say no to a new  video game and then build him a $ 500.00  10/22)

Lots of Dad's are interested in these conversion.
1 Dad shoots AR15
2 Son shoots 10/22
3 Son wants ar15
4 Dad buys conversion kit instead
5 Son happy

I only have the RB Evolution, since that's the one which came first in Canada. Up here, they're the same price. Of course, my opinion is biased, but I really like it with the optional long scout rail. The height of the scope/red-dot relative to the stock feels pretty much the same as the AR15. And with a vertical grip, you don't notice the different forearm. Bottom line; I'm keeping the Evo.

Now a few pics, just to tease you towards the RB Evolution...

Cheers

Nice Build
I really like using flip up sights on the scout rail also

I like the fact that I could use a free float handguard of my choice which makes it feel more like my 3 gun rifle and that was my goal with a kit.  That's why I got a Nordic.

I have an Evo,  and have handled and shot the Nordic and will be buying one.

The EVO costs less (no handguard to buy.)

The Nordic is a LOT closer to an AR-15 in ergonomics.

Both are made well and are nice products.
