I bought a 22" stainless Ruger 10/22 w/wood stock, and I wanted to know what sling options there are out there for it? Anyone have some links or input?

Uncle Mike's makes a set of swivels, the front one attaching into the barrel band where the screw is, which only serves to loosen the band itself. Crap, in other words. With the factory stock, your best bet is to simply get a set of generic swivel studs for a wooden stock and use those. The sling itself doesn't have to be anything fancy, IMO; a plain nylon sling works just fine.

The rifle already comes with front and rear sling swivels. I just wanted to know if anyone has purchased a sling that would work for this rifle, and where did they buy it. etc...

Shit...the 22" barrel shoulda tipped me off that it had the sporter stock with studs already installed...

Well in that case, a "Super Sling" would fill the bill nicely...well made, easily adjustable, swivels already on it, and not too expensive. You can find them at Wal Mart.

Well, I guess all I had to do was look past the gun rack at Wal-Mart when buying the rifle in order to find the sling.

Thanks for the info....

+1 on the super sling. Like it for it's quick adjustment, and overall value.

I should have stated this more clearly, but the rifle came with sling swivels not studs. So the "Super Sling" will not work unless I buy the Uncle Mike's swivel and stud kit.

So instead of buying the swivel and stud kit to be able to use the Super Sling,  I decided to buy a different sling Wal Mart had which does not require quick detaches.

I do thank you guys for your input on this topic, I had no idea Wal Mart carried so many different slings.
