I ran out of my usual .22 plinking ammo - Federal Champion High Velocity 40gn solid - and requested some more for my bday.  My little brother answered the call with what first appeared to be an identical carton of ammo.

Then I noticed the words "Match" just under the "Federal Ammunition."  This was odd, b/c none of my other empty boxes had this labeling.  After closer inspection, I noticed the ammo was standard velocity.  I didn't know that Federal made both high velocity and standard velocity Champion.  I can't find any info on this stuff online.  Everyone sells the HV stuff.  What's up?

Is it Federal 714?  If so, ask where he got it.  That's very good stuff and hard to find.

I'll check on Friday when I go home.  I know that he got it from a Dick's Sporting Goods.
