I acquired one from an in-law a few years ago.  Anything I need to know about it?  Also, any idea where I can find a spare mag?  Thanks.

I bought one at Fort Bragg around 86 or so.  I still have it but my brother in law is currently burrowing since I've been pretty much overseas so much.  I have to use smart movements with the bolt to eject the empty cases with mine.  If I use slow and deliebrate movements (baby) with the bolt the spent round will stay in the feed area.  Its fun to shoot since I have some K98s.  CB caps are bearly audioble through that long barrel.

For spare mags check Numich , SARCO , or Tom Forrest, Inc.  I got three with mine and sometimes can't seem to find them at the time.  They fit very well inside my jeans watch pocket.  By the way great jackrabbit rifle.

The only contact I have had with the rifles was at a Boy Scout camp last year. I really liked it, reminded me of a K98 but with a neat tangent peep sight on the rear ring. Seemed to be very robust. The one I shot tore a ragged hole in the center on the target and impressed all the other leaders. I went and added it to my list of "get someday" guns (though that is a rather long list. Probably not the best pure target gun but a nice plinker especially if you like old military rifles (and don't mind that it's French).
