| I received this old (1980's) Marlin .22 with a tube magazine and I want to know how to clean it and prep it for service. Does anyone have any experience with these? |

Probably a Model 60. I've got one, was my first rifle from my father about 20 years ago. A decent little shooter, I still shoot it quite a bit and use if for squirrel hunting. Here's a link to an on-line schematic: model 60 schematic The only thing I've found tricky about reassembly is getting the bolt group back in. Trying to keep the spring compressed is the hardest part. You might also want to try www.rimfirecentral.com. Pretty good bunch of guys there with quite a bit of knowledge. They may have some links to step-by-step procedures for disassembly and reassembly. |
