Nope, no cranking involved whatsoever.   That would just be hokey as hell and certainly not worth $1200

Let's just say it's legal FA with a unique way to do it.   Nothing more involved than pulling the trigger.

Unless the product is some dude who carries the rifle, buys the ammo and shoots at whatever I tell him to shoot at, it isn't worth $1200.

Lemme guess, it is a reactive trigger, 2 shots, one at pull, one on release....

Waiting for an AR version....

You can use a staple and do it to a Mini14.....

That would be illegal. Only one shot per squeeze per the NFA of 1934, and no new registrations of transferrable machine guns after Dec 1986. That's a quick and easy way to spend some time in the klink.

I wish I knew, I'd prepay for the first available one right freaking now.   Unfortunately he wouldnt let me photograph it anyhow.

I know this reeks of BS but I absofreakingloutly swear to god this is real.   I should have forgot all about it when I left the place but it's just too damned juicy.

If you merely heard how it works you'd scoff and probably dismiss it but seeing is believing.  When it finally does appear I'll weigh in and attest to having seen it firsthand.   Way cool stuff.

Okay , I'll make a Wild Ass Guess.

A tripod mounted device that lets the rifle recoil freely , so all you need to do
is stroke the trigger. ( similar to bump firing).

But why only for a 10-22 , and why so much $$

right idea, wrong verbiage.

Yep - I was kinda making a play on the whole "thrusts per squeeze" hysteria from a year ago...

Gus....I know it seems weird, but when you follow the letter of the law, sometimes it is possible to sidestep the original intent.

Well a couple FBs through the front door, followed by restrants and duct tape would be a good start!

Whatever the fuck it is, sign me up. What the hell, I have spent money on some pretty stupid shit(tried to buy a Bobafet helmet the other day), this cant be any worse!

Thought about building a mock 1919 with a 10/22 insode just as you described using the regular 1919 trigger linked to the 10/22 trigger. WHen the rifle fired it would rock back on a rails, with a return spring that would send the action back. Would turn some heads I assure you!

I looked at that linked thread.

Don't think it would be too hard to get a conviction, regardless of what the ATF letter says. Follow the logic:

Load the mag with ten rounds. Put it in the gun and rack the bolt. Now pull the trigger five times. How many shots did you fire? Was it more than five? Bingo, you lose. Hope that $1200 price includes a free bail bond.

If such a device got mass-produced, the BEST we could hope for would be a BATFE ruling against it. What's more likely to happen would be national legislation--to which they'd of course attach a new AW ban, .50 cal ban, and Lord knows what.
