I ordered a kit from EAB Co. It includes the bbl and a heavier bolt handle that is supposed to add the mass needed for the rifle to cycle properly. It is currently backordered, but as soon as I get everything installed I'll give you guys a range report. I have some 25 round Butler Creek Hotlips mags that I will try with the ammo as well to see how reliably they work with the new cartridge. In preparation for the stainless barrel, I took my black receiver to work, used a wire wheel to take all the finish off of it, and polished it out. I put a mirror finish on the receiver, then sprayed it with a satin clear coat that took the glare out and made it look more like a dull stainless. I really like the looks of it compared to a stock "stainless" receiver... or gray-painted aluminum. I'll get pics of it up as soon as it's together. |

I assembled a 10/22 with the EABCO barrel conversion, and have had the rifle at the range for a couple of shooting sessions. Function has been flawless, but consistent accuracy has not been presented yet. I think the barrel is still going through a break-in period. Harlan |
| Ill be interested to see how it works out. I started getting my 10/22 ready yesterday for the 17HM2 Conversion. New scope and mounts for a nice solid setup. I want to go with a med heavy barrel and a synthetic stock, sort of a mini M24 clone. May even use my friends Lauer setup to paint it camo. |
