I happen to pick this up from a former co-worker who is retiring and moving into a condo in FL. Everything looks original, unfortunately its missing a few pieces. I have found a few odds and ends but the cost in parts is more than I paid for the rifle! I took it apart, cleaned and oiled everything. It was filthy and probably never cleaned. Its missing: entire rear sight - the barrel mounted one (screws are present though) I guess there is a second rear peep sight off the rear of the bolt? the screws are there but nothing else front sight hood green "S" pin rear sling swivel the scope screws and rear most sight screws are buggered up I think i will just get a M22 super side scope mount and call it a day, of course that is OOS too

Saw the 1/2 off deal for Project Appleseed and decided its been 12 years, I should go again so I scheduled one. I also had a budget from father's day, don't really need anything but had been thinking I should buy some quality American-made/250th patriotic product and saw Ruger was making these special editions so it seemed the perfect thing to buy myself for doing Appleseed. Its just this side of too gaudy for me but I actually love it, I ordered a white M1 sling to go on it. I'm going to practice the AQT with irons but likely will end up putting an optic on it. I found out its basically like the 50th anniversary 10/22 model from 2014 which was designed by a guy who does Appleseed and he gave it all the features he thought would make a good Liberty Training Rifle.
