| Alright guys so I need suggestions for an overt carrier/clean/black and with a badge clip/Ballistic armor plates as well. Just started at the Sherrif's department and need some new gear. My price range would preferably be below $300 altogether. If it helps we carry G21's. Thanks in advance. |

By the time you have the soft armor inserts for the carrier you've spent 300 bucks. If you mean a carrier for over the soft armor like for active shooters I like the Grey ghost gear minimalist. Comes in black. I used to make a package of that carrier, plates and a IFAK for officers looking for just that. Also, stay away from steel. Steel armor's only advantage is price, how much is your life worth? |

Toss in some lvl 4 ceramics from ar500armor and you're pretty much as close to $300 as you're going to get and you're very protected. I know you said $300 but that's just not reasonable unless you get junk. Look at it this way, what's your life worth to you? I know it's an unlikely scenario but you won't be thinking, "man I'm glad I saved $150" while you're bleeding out and you'll never see your loved ones again. I have health problems and I'm "young". 38. I've had them for a while. Point is I know what it's like to have major surgeries and heart pain and that tough guy/saved money stuff goes right out the window when you're having serious heart/chest pain and you don't know if your eyelids will open again. I didn't intend on going this far with this but it's your life man. Get some good shit. I know what it's like being broke. Sell something else to pay for your gear. It's only stuff. You can buy it back later. Keep us updated. |
