I'm in the market for a 1/4 zip Multicam combat shirt and I'm trying to stay around $50 or so. I avoid Condor like the plague when it comes to gear, but I've heard they're clothing is actually decent. Any input on the Condor line of combat shirts or any other recommendations?

I got one from midway that is a British surplus, so not really multicam I think but looks the same.  I haven't worn it but it looks to be top quality, not sure if it is fire resistant either.  One interesting thing is it came with patch panel covers, which normally you end up searching for them since most commands will not allow soldiers to even wear them, not many manufacture them.

I saw those, but I wasn't sure if they had the embroidered Union Jack on the sleeve or not

Are those actual Crye shirts? I also found a London Bridge Assaulter shirt for a similar price

Drifire by the design.

Would be nice if they showed the tag.

Our Drifires run a little small, so the "run large" has me a little confused.

That's what it looks like. Seems low price for genuine Crye and you figure if it was, they're name would be in there somewhere

Definitely NOT Crye.

I took another (zoom) look and while the pockets match Drifire's construction, the collar and cuffs do not...so I think they are some other brand (with Drifire body material).

I got 2 for $30. I don't think they have a flag on it but I'll check when I get home tonight.

I ordered one of these back in Oct (IIRC).  Mine IS Crye Precision.  Has the green circle P Crye tag at the bottom of the hem and the little rubber Crye precision on the back of the arm pocket.

You can see the green Crye tag in the SG pic in the bottom left.

The one I ordered and received IS Crye.  From what I've heard, these are surplus Gen 2 shirts....not sure what the difference is between it and the current generation.

edited...this one:

Yes, they're legit Crye.

You'll have to take my word for it because I'm not getting out of bed, digging around in the closet, and snapping pictures of the Crye label on the sleeve pocket or on the bottom of the front.

It has a small Union Jack on one of the velcro covers.  Remove the cover you remove the flag.

I bought 3 of these myself.  Very good quality. Originally I was just looking for a cheap training shirt so I wouldn't be constantly using my $70+ work shirt.  It ended up being nicer IMO than our issued 5.11 shirt, for less money.  I also picked up one of the tan desert shirts too.  Same quality.  Good stuff, cheap.

The British shirt is the best combat shirt IMO. It also has permanent built in bug repellant to the material. Far better construction, velcro, materials, buttons, etc than US military combat shirts. And for less money. Zipper is great, gas a pocket so it does not rub you when closed, it's not too hot... can't say enough good. Buy multiple if you can. The size charts are also accurate.

How is the sizing on these UBAC shirts? The reviews are all over the place, most say they run big. How did it fit you? I'm 5'10", 180lb with a 32" waist and 44" chest. I'm not sure if I should go medium or large. I like combat shirts to be snug but not super tight. My Massif Combat Shirts are large.

Yeah, there is the flag on the left side but it would be easy to slice off. Don't let that stop you from buying one. They are cheap enough.

Shit, I just noticed it in my pic.

They do not run big in my opinion. I am 6ft 84kgs 34" waist and the mediums cut into my arm pits quite a bit which gives a great burn when worn for extended periods, where most other mediums are alright on me. Large fits me fine around the chest and pits. XL is a tent. As for the flag, they are easily picked off or just take the blanking patches off and have a gucci little velcro patch.

To add to that, the image a few posts up is the old style of UBACs, they aren't so great imo with all the extra padding. There's a new full MTP issued one they've just rolled out, I think it looks like a kids pajama top though so I stick to my MTP sleeves and olive body ones but if you are MTP obsessed try get one of those.

They're sewn on and easily removed.  (I'm most Irish and would not be caught dead wearing a Union Jack, YMMV.)

How long are the sleeves on these type of shirts. At 6' 4" most sleeves are short unless you get a tall size.

Torso is fitted, sleeves are baggy lime regular BDU or ACU sleeves, and the sleeves are short.  I wish I could get the brit shirts in a Large/Long.

Im 5 11, 215 with a 34" waist. I'll role the sleeves on a large. I typically like long shirts because my shoulders are wide enough to make some sleeves ride up.

At least on the one I have the Union Jack is on the velcro cover.  If you are going to put a patch there or don't care for the cover, you can just remove the cover.  But you're right, it would be extremely easy to remove especially if you have one of the sewing picks designed to undo stitches.

There are specs for chest size to determine size and they are dead on. Order on chest size and it will fit great. I got the green body version, not full camo. The body is fitted but not stretchy tight, the arms are loose. I'd get a medium if I were you. I'm 6'2" 220 lbs 46" chest and wear 120/190. You need 112/180.
