Picked up this neat SOE flashbang / small GP pouch in the used bin at the surplus store for 5 bucks. I was immediately impressed by the build quality... it's constructed like a brick s**thouse. Bravo John Willis.

Size comparison with an Allied Industries FSBE II flashbang pouch. The SOE pouch feels more durable in construction but lacks a drain hole.

Made in California.

Side profile.

Here's the problem. I'd love to use this pouch on my main belt (M1967 nylon with Davis buckle) or on a MOLLE vest, but the velcro back has me at a loss for what to do. Is there some sort of adapter I can put on the velcro that has straps for looping through MOLLE? Or am I SOL with this one?

Find a good metal brush to clean that Velcro and clean it up and pretty sure there is stuff out there to turn that into Molle. Just search for it and you can find it. Would love a few of those pouches.

That's just one the reasons I'm not a fan of velcro attachments.

Post a video of you setting it on fire to OSOE's Facebook page.  I bet JW will send you a pouch that will accept MALICE clips if you do that.

Tell him you want a pouch with a drain hole in the video while its burning.

It's no wonder it's subpar, given that the closest Willis can get to a flashbang is this:

How about keeping comments like this bullshit your spewing out of a tech forum? Besides, I'd rather be an American felon than a Canadian any day...

I didn't ask for your resume, and JW is not my hero...he just builds the gear I once used and still occasionally do. I've never had an issue, but recognize some others have. I've also spent a lot of money with Botach and never been screwed over, but to hear it told on here, they steal everyones money on every order.

If it will make you happy, there are plenty of JW/SOE bashing threads here - go find one and talk smack in there all you want. No need in flat-out lying to the OP about "subpar" gear, which everyone can agree that despite whatever you think about the owner - SOE gear certainly isn't subpar in design or workmanship quality.

Save for some of Eggy's stuff and a few others, it's the only other tactical nylon gear I've seen that actually appreciates in value after you buy it.

Not having a drain hole in the flash-bang pouch is a design flaw. Granted, dirt and sand do not impact inert flash-bang replicas, so maybe that is why JW did not see the need to have a drain hole in the SOE flash-bang pouch.

Going back to the OP, I am wondering why assesses the SOE pouch "feels more durable in construction" than the Allied Industries pouch. Is thicker Coudura used? Is the stitching thicker? Is there less binding tape on the SOE pouch? Is the SOE pouch just heavier than the Allied Industries pouch?

Didn't take long for this to get stupid. Keep this bickering crap out of the tech forums.
