Anyone know of any good "tactical" elbow pads?  Simular to the Arcterex knee caps?  They're pretty lightweight, flexible, not too slippery and low profile.  That's what I need in elbow pads without looking like I do drywall at a competition.

I have an out of place ulnar nerve that keeps me from going prone without elbow pads.

Alta makes some that you can probably find nearly free on unclesams or ebay. You won't want to wear them all weekend, but they'll do the job.

Alta or Hatch.

The alternative would be to get a shirt with built in pads but the problem with them is that you end up wearing through the shirt material.

I find that alta pads are a bit slippery and bulky because of the plastic cap.  Also 8 hours a day for 2 or 3 days would be common for some of the major matches I shoot.

Hatch does have some neoprene pads, does anyone have any experience with those?  Are they durable and comfortable?

Unfortunately, I don't think a shirt would be possible because I wear a jersey.  In the winter that would be fine but 110 degrees with 100% humidity makes doubling up less fun lol.  I had considered a Crye shirt under the jersey at least for the winter, but that's a lot of money for a part time fix.

I use a set of VBall knee pads and just put a couple strips of gorilla tape on the face since the fabric is pretty soft, so the tape takes most of the abuse. They are cheap enough that if they last a year I got my moneys worth...
