Im in the market for some tactical pants in a woodland camo scheme.
But it seems the only option is tru spec or dropping $200 on crye pants.

Anyone know of decent pants that my bank account will agree to?

Try the Vertx tactical pants at LAPG.  They run around $87 for multi-cam, but are $45 for solid colors.  http://www.lapolicegear.com/vertx-mens-pant.html

Yeah, I know it's not woodland camo, but if you can live with multi-cam they're really nice pants.

Beyond does a handsome discount for police / military. They make some pants in woodland. Or as someone else suggested, surplus woodland BDUs.

Carhartt work cargo pants. I doubt I'll ever buy actual tac pants now I've discovered these

ETA: missed the woodland camo bit

Honestly that's THE best option. If you need different layout or fit (or Crye kneepads) get them tailored.

LAPG basic bdu pants hold up well and are light. Light enough to warrant long johns or poly-pro when the temps are around freezing.

VertX. Get them from promotive if you qualify for an account. I just spent a whole deployment in them, they were great.

Or propper makes woodland BDU pants new?

Surplus for sure. I love Crye but not sure I'd wear them if I had to pay for them.

++Vertx.  I haven't tried all the pants available as most of my life I just bought pants from my local surplus store.   A few years ago I was in the search for something less tactical looking as most of my pants were needing replaced..  I wanted pants that I could wear hiking, to the gun range, out and about in public that appeared like casual pants yet were tough with extra pockets.  Vertx fit my needs mentioned above plus some.  My inseam in 36" which Vertx comes in and most do not.  Don't laugh at this one... but my butt is slightly flat so i try and buy lower rise pants so they don't sag.  I wouldn't say Vertx pants are low rise but to me they are lower rise than other tactical pants I have bought in the past.  Combine the better fit in "rise" with the fact that they have Spandex in the fabric to help them stretch as well as a gusset in the crotch (equals) very very comfortable!!!  If anyone is in the martial arts, they are as easy to kick in as karate or Gi pants.  Thick durable pants with lots of pockets that feel like my pajamas equals a win to me. Just go to Vertx and search for "spandex" because they do make other pants without it.  There other pants might be just as comfortable but I haven't tried them

This is a fantastic suggestion. These pants are the same cut as Crye Precision gen 1 field pants as visible in both Multicam and khaki on this website's pictures:

http://www.militarymorons.com/gear/crye1.html

The kneepad sleeves are accessible from the outside and they'll fit full size Crye kneepads. The cargo pockets have elastic pockets sewn in to hold two AR mags each. I'll post pictures supporting this in the morning. This company sells them for $40 shipped and I've bought several pairs from them.

http://m.ebay.com/itm/Helikon-SFU-NEXT-Army-Combat-Trousers-Mens-Cadet-Tactical-Pants-US-Woodland-Camo-/271833719087?nav=SEARCH

(I'm in no way shape or form a shill for any of these companies but I'm sold hook line and sinker on these pants so if you grab a pair and just absolutely hate them, you sir have my permission to punch me square in the mouth )
