Im starting to build a plate carrier for a SHTF...Might also use it for milsim airsoft ops...dont hate...
Also might get some hate for saying that itll be Condor gear, although ive heard their overall quality has gotten alot better
but while looking through pouches and what ill want and need to carry on the PC i was wondering...what the hell do you put in admin pouches?
i know the normal pens, pencils, markers, notepads, but what else do you people put in there?
gonna have a separate pouch for a flashlight and multi-tool as well

I put spare flashlight CR123A lithium batteries, flint, waterproof note pad, and a spare set of ear plugs. Whatever you like at fits your needs. I choose to keep it simple and light so it doesn't add bulk to the front of my PC.

An easier way would be to pick out everything that you want to carry and find a pouch/solution to fit all of it. Rather than the other way around.

You know how I can tell you were in the Infantry?

It's a good question. There was no such thing as an admin pouch when I was in the grunts. Cargo / shirt pockets were where you put pens and your waterproof notepad. Other than that stuff and maybe a map, I dunno what else I'd put in there. Of course, we didn't have dump pouches either, so what do I know?!

I use the Marz admin pouch.

Multi-tool
Hex key set
Tiny multi-bit screwdriver
Two of each battery type I need
1911 widget
AR15 pin punch
Ballpoint pen
BIC
Keyfob for vehicle clipped to internal loop

Sound advice.

Instead of an admin pouch on my PC, I have a TT Accessory Pouch 1H  on my belt. Gives me more room and there's no pouch above the mags on the PC to potentially interfere. Of course, this assumes that one has a separate belt. I get a hell of a lot more use out of my belt when hiking around in the bush than I do my PC.

In said pouch, I carry 10m 550 cord, Rite-In-The-Rain Notebook, ballpoint pen, Surefire earplugs, small bottle of sunscreen, compass, spare batteries, and a survival kit in a decon container.

I never put an admin pouch on my body armor, my upper right shoulder pocket kept all the stuff I would have put in such a pouch just fine.

I suggest that you refrain attaching anything to your PC or LBE unless its' weight and bulk are either essential to the accomplishment of your mission, or the pouch+contents contribution to your personal comfort/well-being/morale/health is far more important than its' bulk and weight.

In any event, make every effort to mount items off to the sides, so that you can obtain a good prone position, and make certain that anything attached to the PC/LBE interfaces properly with the pack(s) that you intend to use.

The more items you have attached to your PC/LBE, the more likely the items will interfere with each other in some way.

In short, minimize things to the bare essentials.  Don't forget that you will be carrying all this gear.

In addition to what's already been listed, I have a compass, protractor, whistle (contingency for shifting/lifting fire), and a few extra batteries.

As an airsofter, the "admin" stuff I carry is usually:
1. Fake bandages, depending on the rules for the event. I try to keep these separate from my real IFAK kit.
2. Emergency contact info card (mandatory at some events)
3. Speedloader
4. Bag of spare BBs.
