Hi all,
I was wondering if those of you who own Mayflower APC's (either S/M and L/XL, with S or M cummberbund) can provide me the width and length of the front/rear plate pockets as well as the length and width of the inside of cummberbund pocket. Please tell me the size of the plate carrier and cummberbund you have as well as the dimensions. Disclaimer, I know that the plate carriers are sized according to the SAPI plate sized and chest measurements. However, because Mayflower manufactures the plate pockets a little bit larger to account for thicker plates, the dimensions are larger than the SAPI plate dimensions. Thank you all in advance, I really appreciate it. |
| So, you want to know the thickness of the plate pockets? I have an APC with ESAPI plates, and they correspond exactly to the size of the plates. Why do you need to know if there are size discrepancies? Are you trying to size another type of plate for this particular carrier? |

No need for the thickness since the APC is sewed together "flat" and not "formed" (like the APC vs the DBT FAPC).
I want to know because I want to use another carrier and not my KDH SPC's carrier. My SPC itself is a small with a small SAPI plate pocket, but the plate backers behind it are between the L and XL SAPI plate sizes (measurement wise). However, due to the thinness of the panels, I want to see if the panels would be a better fit in a S/M APC or L/XL APC. I know that people have fit size Large SAPI plates into the S/M APC before too, but this, again, all boils down to how Mayflower RC sewed the plate pockets "flat" and not "formed". If I knew the dimensions (LxW) of the plate pockets and cummberbund, I'd be able to better gauge which size carrier would fit best without shelling out the money on something that might/might not fit. Thank you very much. |
