Is anybody using these anymore?

I found one I was issued for a shotgun and tweaked it into a 2 point sling using HK style clips.

Maybe I'm jaded by being a southpaw, because use of a three point requires the strap that goes laterally to the rifle to be set up on the ejection side, if you're left handed...

Anyway, they don't seem to offer anything a good 2 point won't, which is why, I assume you don't see them much anymore.

3 point slings are awesome if all your going to do is stand around with your rifle.

They tend to get in the way when you actually use the rifle

This, I was issued one and was forced to use it during MCT. I despised it, they do nothing but get caught on not only your gear but everything around you.
Best to stick with a one point or a two point. That's just my opinion though.

I was a die hard 3 point guy
until i started going to carbine
classes. 3 points don't allow
weak side transitions.

I now run single points that I
can quickly convert to 2 point
if needed.
