So in the last couple of orders with LBT, I bought a few bungee top mag pouches.  I got 2 ACU's on one order, and 2 multicam doubles on the next order.

Well tonight, I was rigging up my new TT MAV, and went to put some of those pouches on it.  It seems like the molle straps on them are about 3/8'' too short.  The snaps fall in the last web on the vest.  Thinking it may be the vest, I tried them on my USGI vest, and my LBT 3 day pack.  Same all the way around.

I love LBT, and their quality, and am not trashing them at all.  Just wondering if anybody else may have had this same problem, or seen this?

As a side note, I had zero problems with my Eagle pouches, or TT pouches.

If it's a shorter pouch, it might just be the nature of the beast, and you'll just have to skip the last webbing row on the vest.  If the attachment strap makes it through at least 2 rows of webbing on the vest it should be secure enough.

Or are you saying that the strap seems out of spec and doesn't even reach the snap closure on the pouch body?

D, I am saying that the pouch is (or looks like) to be ran through 3+2 for 5 straps total.  On the last one, it hits the webbing, trying to snap it.  They reach the snaps, when just by themselves.  Like I said, the thing that makes me wonder, is none of my other brands seem to do this.

I found this pic, I'm guessing it looks something like this where the position of the snaps prevent the straps from passing through a 3rd row on the vest and still clear enough for the snaps to close?

if so, it's just a factor of the overall height of the pouch and it can't be helped.  I have seen several pouches like this from other manufacturers as well.  You'll just have to secure it to 2 rows on the vest and snap it shut, skipping a 3rd row like you usually use with taller pouches.

Yes, that is pretty much it.  It is supposed to hit 5 weaves.  vest, pouch, vest, pouch vest.  As it sits, I can get vest pouch vest, and the bottom two will have to be lef off.  I guess if it has to be okay, then it has to be.  Just seems a bit looser that way.  I have Eagles, that are the same size, and no problems.  That is why I was pretty confused.

This has been my experience with some of their pouches as well.  But in my experience, having them on 3 rows instead of 5 makes little/no difference in terms of stability or use.  ...I guess if you want to look at the bright side, I guess it saves a little weight?

Your pouches will be more than secure enough to do the job. LBT knows how to design stuff, and if they look like the ones pictured above, then I'm sure they are built the way they are supposed to be.
