So this is just curiosity on my part and maybe an optional upgrade for just to have in the future. For the Navy and Coast Guard guys on the VBSS teams, do you have any kinda flotation system on your armor like either of these?

Or do y'all just use something like the Eagle Ind CIRAS system that's designed to fall off if you yank a few things? Don't think I'll ever be doing any armored water ops but I hate swimming and rather not try and figure it out on the fly. Any help you can give would be appreciated.

High speed guys use a plate carrier, used to be standard CIRAS, filled with foam for neutral buoyancy and mustang TFSS on the war belt. Standard boarding team ensemble for CG is type 3 pfd over your bulletproof vest.

So how's that work with the type 3 PFD for getting at your magazines? Or when you say vest you're talking more lvl IIIa soft armor or something similar right?
