I was thinking about getting a range and/or/ bailout bag made.  Who would you guys use, that does custom work, if you wanted to get a bag that was hell for stout, tough as crap, last til you die quality?

Under $40 of course.....LMAO, not really, but that seems to be what people ask for, then put that restricion on there.

What do you want as far as features?  Someone probably already makes something that should fit your criteria, but it probably won't be $40

I really would like something that is roughly 18'' long, by 12x12.  I would like ar mag pouches on one side, and pistol pouches on the other.  I would like a simi rigid bottom, to retain shape, and most of all, I would like it built extremely well.  Does this make any sense????

A bit small, but similar concept.

Yeah, but I also would like mag pouches on the outside as well.  Or maybe even a molle setup, might be nice.

Geez man, seriously?  No need for the capitals, or the fatherly tone.  It was a joke, hence the "not really" part of that.

All I was looking for, was a reccomendation of who some people have used, who have built some really high quality gear.  Maybe you know some of these you might be willing to share?

BP, what is an LBT?  $70 is not bad at all.  I would spend $200, if the quality was right.  Thanks for the help.

you put that requirement in after laughing your ass off - dont beat yourself up over it

because with that requirement, custom builders will be laughing their ass off too.

why because it is not worth their time to engage and build a one-off contrivance under the expectation that it be the same price as market items -

thats the reality of the matter, and that is why several gear makers have pulled custom builds from their offerings because of unrealistic expectations from consumers.

London Bridge Trading.
They are big into .gov sales along with Eagle.
They routinely do blow out sales where they sell a $600 bag for $80.
They do lots of stuff for NSW so the airsoft junkies love their stuff for replica.
some of the original 'plate carriers'

$800 'backback'

I'll spell this out for you, since you are having a difficult time understanding.  It was a fucking joke.  You've added nothing to this thread, whatsoever in the least.  I pretty much gave you a pass, asked you directly if you knew any sources, even after your first bout with ignorance.   You are dismissed now, see you later.

It's perfectly all right for users to suggest custom gear makers, no need to camouflage things.  It's NOT all right for them to be initiating gear--making threads.  After the initial "I want something made", they should respond to you via IM.

RAF, if my comments above imply I was initiating business, far from it.

the OP wanted an answer and I gave one further clarification for which he could have taken to heart in future transactions and as such prevent him from getting laughed at due to unrealistic expectations

I don't think you implied anything either, eggy...maybe raf had a senior moment and misread it. He's a reasonable dude, ya know....he did free Blacktide that one time.

OP...chill out. We are a merry band of geardos in here and we try like the devil to help each other out and assist new members anytime they need it. We are all a bunch of Type A personalities and most of us have had our dicks in the same dirt overseas....but at times we don't play patty-cake with each other as nice as we should...especially over bailout bags .

ETA: I forgot to contribute to this thread. My ideal bag is the SOE Bolt Bag, but it isn't made as a production item anymore....just onesies and twosies every now and again. The Camelbak MULE or Maxpedtion pack would be a cheaper, but solid choice until you nailed down what you are exactly needing.

Geez dude, please explain to me if you know what a joke is.  The first part of my post was serious......the second was a joke.   A joke is something spoken or done in action, to provoke a laugh.   Somehow you feel I need an education, as to keep me from "getting laughed at", and embarresing myself.  It was not meant serious, for the 3rd time friend.

To those who have attempted to help, I sincerely appreciate it.  If there are custom builders, I would love to find some.  Actually I am a guy that could give a crap less about what something costs, and more on how it performs.  Sorry if my $40 comment wasn't fully understood.  It was certainly not meant serious.

With that said, any custom guys come to mind?

I obviously ain't a mod, OP....so take this for what it is worth, but just chill on eggy. Being kinda new here, I think you very much misunderstood what he was saying. He most certainly wasn't disrespecting you. Besides that, eggy is a respected and knowledgable member in this subforum. He's also one of those "custom guys" you are inquiring about and he has consulted at least one well known, big name company on product development. Not only that, he has helped many members here, both deployed pros and new guys alike, get setup the way they need to fight effectively.

All that said, there is a thread in this very subforum that has many fine examples of some custom and DIY gear made by members here. I am on an iPotato, so I won't even attempt to link it...but it's here within the first few pages.
