I'll let you know how they look when I get them - if I ever do...

You could do a search and read over the couple hundred plate threads we have had in the past month. google search with "ar15.com" plus whatever you want to learn about ![]() yeah, im not trying to be a jerk but this is so true, just type ar15.com and your question after it in google and you will find what you are looking for. There are probably hundreds of identical threads discussing rifle plates, just click on the ones with 2013 or 2014 dates for the most up to date info. if you want member's opinions on say Armor A vs Armor B that you are consider buying they would be glad to post but they are not going to repeat the same basic info about body armor in every thread and then spend 30 min helping you search the internet for gear options, thats your responsibility. Sorry if that comes of as me being a jerk, it just seems like people want everyone else to due the work for them.

I'm sorry guys I read through the entire plate carrier thread and both gear porn threads (for like the last 3 weeks lol) and a buncha plate threads
I didn't see my question asked or answered I'll have to try that Google trick Btw those threads cost me about a 1000$ this site is dangerous! My chest measures 46" so I'm right at the cutoff for med/large plates I'll play around with this large front plate(currently running large front/xl back sapi) for a few more weeks but I might pick up a med front plate to try out |

Also, why are you running different plate sizes? they should match, remember you are protecting your vital organs, aka heart, lungs, spinal cord, major arteries entering/exiting the heart. Stomach, intestines, liver, etc are of no importance as far as short term survival goes. The organs are the same size and in the same location in the front and back of your torso, no need for a larger plates in back and smaller in front. Plates should be sized so they are just wide enough to cover both nipples, the top shiuld be level with the bottom of your collar bone (just below your throat, this seems high but its correct placement) and allow you to sit in a chair without the bottom of the plate rubbing or jabbing into your hips. As for shooters cut plates just buy ESAPI plates, you can get a pair for like $300-350 and they are angles at the top corners to allow you to shoulder a rifle. Honestly it doesnt matter what plate youre wearing it will be difficult to shoulder a rifle, it just takes practice and sometimes a little gear modification. |

Call bulletproofme.com and ask, they sell LTC plates and can source much more than what is on their website. |
