I've got a Banshee that I'm building up and inside I have a set of Gammas.  I was actually thinking of going with a set of steel plates the other day.   Heavier but a LOT less bulky.  That's another thread though.

The thing I'm not fond of with the Banshee is that I can't use my soft armor plates with it.  Sure I can put the soft armor on just over my undershirt but having an all-in-one unit would be nice.

What are your thoughts?  All-in-one or keep them separate?

Any carrier recommendations?

Thanks

If a soft panel backer is not sufficient, get something that takes BALCS.

What do you want to carry in your carrier or what do you want to use? There are plenty of options for armor and carriers. You can use soft and hard armor together or stand alone plates.

The way I want to finish my carrier is with stand alone front, back, side stand alone plates and soft armor inserts for my cummerbund. I want plates rated for lvl III instead of IIIa soft armor because I live in a rural area. The soft armor is to get maximum coverage on the sides where the side plates don't cover. I need to get the side plate carriers too. I have a PIG PC that can carry both soft and hard armor. It doesn't give maximum coverage or quick release capability but gives more mobility and covers the vitals well.

I have IIIA soft plates that are full contoured so they cover most of my torso except the arm pit area.  My gammas are just the standard larger size (I think 10x12) front and back.

What cut is the soft armor? Are the plates stand alone too?
There are plenty of options

You can run them separate or run them in the same carrier. That is up to you.
