Ive only used the pistol mag versions, if you get them Id run them directly off the belt instead of molle loops, the mag retention is really good.

I've been using the the AR versions for several years and really like them.  I haven't subjected them to anything like serious "abuse," but for classes and range work they have been great.  I just got some of the Esstac KYWI shingles and like those as well.  The short model should be comparable to the ITW, and doesn't rely on an elastic band.   I'd be well satisfied with either of them.

To the op, i have had single for a year or so
on my warbelt and i love it.

Now that i see the new doubles, my question
is if i buy a current gen double, will my single
mount to the front of the new one. My concern
is that the snaps on the cloth straps won't fit
through the slots on the new one.

Anyone try this?

Thanks!

John

The ITW seems to stay much closer to your kit. The short kywis are 'floppy.'

The one thing I have heard from some Army buddies is if you get sand in between them and the mag and then some moisture the mag is locked in there tight and nearly impossible to remove.

I run Gen3 Fast mags and they are awesome.

The rubber band adjustment lets you put it exactly where you want it to be, on both pistol and rifle holsters.

I find that for the M4 mag holsters, I prefer the "MOLLE" version (with the vertical tabs above) on a war belt setup. It provides a "feed ramp" of sorts when putting the mag back into the holster pouch.

They are GTG and worth the money.
