| Did a large amount of these get surplussed recently? They seem to be all over eBay and the EE and uncle sam's retail outlet has the side plate pockets, and cummerbund straps. Would the DoD even surplus body armor like the SPC or are the ones on the market stolen/not properly turned in? They seem like a good value for a basic plate carrier with soft armor included (sewn in). Should I stay away? |

No they have not been surplused or DRMO'd. They are all either stolen or "acquired" through other means such as a paperwork mix up or other means. I suspected as much. It's a shame. It's really weird USRO having the plate pockets and c bund straps. I wanted to pick one up, seems like a good starter carrier. |
