Can you wear a plate carrier (like the Shellback Banshee) without the plates in it (for holding mag pouches or whatever), is it all floppy and loose?
|
| it will be fairly loose. I run a banshee with plates but when i want to train i wear the type 4 fury chest rig from Tag. I have them set up the same. The banshee without plates just doesnt feel secure, your pouches will seem to tilt forward when you have them loaded out. hope this helps. |

Been wondering this as well... I could swear I even asked the question before in the exact same way, but don't remember getting a response wherever it was that I asked... Quoted: You could use it as a chest rig and then get plates later. Mine fits snug with the plates out. Is that with or without mag pouches attached to the front? Looks like the plate "pocket" has about 3/4" of space for the plate that, if not filled, would make anything attached to the front sag... like Blueline said. |

Quoted: I run mine w/o plates and only the soft armor package atm. With just soft armor it becomes quite rigid and gear doesn't make it sag. I don't have the funds for plates yet so I can't say anything on that. The soft plates are pretty pricey too. Pretty sure you could get steel plates for that price. |
