| I'm looking into some plate carriers and I was curious as to what people thought about Paraclete armor. I already have IBA but I'm kind of wanting an IOTV but without the throat protector since I don't really use those anyways. |

I had a buddy that took a paraclete to Iraq, got shot, survived. It's good armor. fantastic. They're saying as long as it's up to standard we can use our own armor when and if we get deployed. This confirms my belief even more. Thanks. Armor carrier or actual armor

I was wondering that myself. It looks more like our IOTV then paracletes other stuff. That was a loaded question, the answer to which is that they won't. The plates will, but the soft panels will not. So, before you spend a big chunk of change, find out what pattern your soft ballistic panels are so you can find an armor carrier that will fit them and hold them in proper position to protect you. ETA: That Paraclete piece you linked to is a hard plate carrier. yes, it will also accomodate specially cut soft ballistics on the side and behind the plates, but it's totally different in purpose and design/cut than the IOTV. |

Bah go figure. Other stuff paraclete sells looks different too. Need too talk to my UA, see what he says. |

The TAG Spartan 2 is an option if you're dead set against the IOTV carrier, and I'm sure there are others as well.
