Any recommendations? Just want a good value for a general purpose range bag to carry misc stuff and have a place for essentials (scope allen wrench, extra mags, etc.).
Was looking at the cabelas bag for $50. Usually like cabelas stuff but this doesn't have any reviews. Larue also seems to have a nice bag but more coin.... |

Midway often has various size range bags on sale, so be patient. LAPG similar. countycomm.com also.
I prefer to use one small bag devoted to always-used personal items, which contents seldom change no matter what I'm shooting. Then, I use a medium-size bag for each type of firearm I'm shooting; in practice, this is three bags, namely shotgun, pistol, and rifle. I bring the appropriate bag(s) as conditions dictate, and I pack them with firearm-appropriate items, depending on which firearms Ii'm using that particular day.. Lastly, I bring any other items in their own cases/bags, such as chronographs, shooting scope/stand, shooting pad, and so forth. If I have a ways to go from vehicke to shooting line, a folding shopping cart with large diameter wheels of WIDE tread is used. Point is that is is a LOT easier to find small items in a small bag, as opposed to tossing everything in one huge bag and constantly rummaging through it all day long hoping to find that ONE small thing you need RIGHT NOW. |
