I am looking for an admin pouch to put on my Banshee plate carrier that I have coming in on Friday.

This
and
This

Are 2 that I really like.  I prefer the top one because it has more hook and loop on front.  The problem is, the first one isn't sold in multicam and the second one is out of stock.  I would really prefer the first one but I'm not sure if it's an option.  So......I'm looking for your help to give me alternatives.

What I am looking for is a very small compact admin pouch, like the ones above, that has a flashlight/multi tool pouch attached.  I prefer the zipper top as I would use it to secure small items (like wedding ring) and would be afraid to lose stuff out of a velcro flap that doesn't seal all the way.

This is an example of something that is too big.  I like it but the pictures I have seen, show it to expand outward really thick and it has the velcro flap.  The only thing it will be used for is to house my flashlight, clip on pens/markers/pencils to a front open pocket, and secure loose items in the larger zipper pocket.  It would be ideal to have interior loops because I'd like to throw my Leatherman MUT in there as well.  It doesn't have to be expensive and it doesn't have to be cheap.  I don't want it very thick or wide, just enough for those few items.

I appreciate your help you sexy SOB's

I'm running this on my banshee

http://www.skdtac.com/Marz-Admin-Pouch-p/mzt.113.htm

I'm running of my left side on the cummberbun and it fits perfectly. Even with 4 chem lights it keeps a low profile, has 3 elastic loops inside for stuff. Also has a tie down point so you could tie your ring with some paracord inside incase it did come open.

I'm using two right now. ONe is an HSGI slimmed down admin pouch, no frills. The other is an TT admin with a tear away map case. Both worth great on the Banshee and fit in the top portion of the PC. I use the TT to carry my camera, maps, notebook, pens, markers, commo card, flashlight, Firefly IR beacon, and a signal whistle.

I also have the TAG admin pouch with the flashlight holder on my chest rig. Works ok, but is too slim for my purpose on my PC which I use pretty regularly. The one on my chest rig is set up for just notes, a light, and a casualty card, pretty much my snatch and grab set up if I can't get to the PC.

What about the Rampage pouch with flap?  I use that as it ensures the zipper stays closed .

It's still very slim and allows me to run a chem light (and sharpie) right at the center of my body.  I've got no complaints about it.

I like that one A LOT but it seems like they are stopping production on it.  The only other store that sells it is Shellback Tactical and both places have the same quantities.  They only have like black, coyote, and ACU left.  They don't even offer it in multicam and their Ranger Green is out of stock.

I could get what I want if the damn thing was just available.

You think so?  I thought the pouch was slim enough to not protrude out too far.  Would you say that you prefer a vertical light pouch?

As much as I hate to say it, I have looked everywhere and the BDS admin pouch seems to have most of what I'm looking for.  It doesn't have a zipper pouch but I am also getting the kangaroo zipper pouch with the Banshee so I guess I could toss my loose shit in there.  I wanted a decent amount of velcro loop since the admin pouch will cover most of the loop on the front of the plate carrier.

If you check out the video on their page, they have it placed on a chest rig and it gives a decent size reference.  I would still like something just a tad smaller but it seems thin enough to not protrude out too far, and it's not as huge as some of the other ones.

Depends on what you're using. I had just a ten speed under it and since it was so low pro the light pouch did get in the way. Ymmv.

YOUR MILEAGE MAY VARY!!!! NOT MINE!!!!

I'm just kidding, bud.  Thanks for the feedback.  Do you run an admin pouch anymore, or just keep it slick-smooth?

right now im using a BAE eclipse admin pocket. i dont have a light in there though. i keep 2 chemlights, a v-lite, and my multitool in there right now.

here are pics of the BAE vs the TAG Rampage with flap on my RRV. also take into account that your carrier might have more vertical PALS rows, meaninig youll have more space in between your mags and the bottom of the admin.

I'm such an idiot....

You DID say that above.  But thank you very much for those pictures.  That helps a lot.  I see why the horizontal light pouch would get in your way.  That definitely cleared that up for me.

and aside from the light pouch i really liked the pouch itself, so i tried putting my multitool inside and leaving the light pocket (where i kept my multitool) empty, but the lid isnt adjustable on the light pouch so you cant really cinch it down when its empty.

That's one feature that is sort of key on the BDS pouch.  You can adjust the flap lower into the pouch to cinch it down tighter.  I just with TAG had their pouches in stock and all of them in multicam

So now I am thinking of going another direction.  My carrier and kangaroo zipper pouch come tomorrow.  I'm going to check how much space I get in there but Maxpedition makes velcro inserts with elastic loops for interior pocket organization.

Like this

And then have the people on base sew it to the wall of the kangaroo pouch.  That'll hold pens, markers, chem lights, flash light, and multi tool.  I'll see the kangaroo pouch tomorrow but if it's as big as I'm hoping, I think this will be a better route.

I found these too.  I like that they're elastic so they'll have better retention and I can stick multiple chem lights in the same loop to save space.

I will agree with MrMitch above and suggest the MARZ tactical admin pouch.  I have one on my Bush Boar and love it.  Not too big, just the right amount of loops for storage, and enough space for some slightly larger items if needed.  I just run chemlights, batteries, a multitool, flashlight, note pad and pencil, lighter and chapstick in mine.  Its plenty flat and out of the way, but there is room for more stuff if I decide I need it.

What are you using for retention of your pmags in the kangaroo pouch?  That's something else I was considering.  Mine comes today, I'm very excite!  But the more I'm working to get it set up, the more I'm afraid it may be too small.  Either way, I'll see today.
