| Anyone know of a AR15 mag pouch secured with fastex buckles, or something other than bungee cords and velcro? |
| I know Garrett Container makes a velcro/ buckle AR15 pouch for the AF load carrying system. Look up DF-LCS to seeif that is simalar to wat you want. I know there are some out there. But remember this. Shock crd and velcro will last longer than a piece of plastic that tends to break with hard use. |

Sounds like you want the old government issued mag pouches.

I'm not a fan of velcro do to the noise. What I'm looking for is something that I can train with occasionally, but I want something that will last many years and still be good to go. Not military or LE, this would be for a just in case scenario. |

Plastic gets brittle with age and UV exposure.
If you throw it in the closet, the velcro should still be good as new years from now. I have things with velcro that I use occassionally, that are over 10 years old, and still in perfect shape. If you're really that worried about noise (which IMHO I don't think should be a concern) you can always fold the top of the pouch over and have an open topped pouch for those times you're concerned about the noise. You can stick a Kywi or something similar if you're concerned with retention. ~Bill |
