| Please forgive me if this is the wrong place for this. I'm looking to buy a vest or a chest rig to go along with my ar. Now I dont have a pistol although im seriously thinking about it so a removable holster would be best. and i have ALOT of mags. So what would you suggest? Any particular manufacture? Style? This is my first AR and it wont be my last |

What exactly do you see yourself doing with this chest rig? You say you have a lot of mags, but how many do your really want to carry on you? 3? 6? 8? 12?
As of late, I prefer lighter rigs with only 3 primary mags, like the Eagle FB rig (if I need more, I will use it along with a warbelt) 
If you want to carry more mags and maybe a pistol too, look at the SKD Universal Chest Rig. The rig holds 8 AR mags, but you can use one of the rifle mag pouches as a holster while still carrying 6 mags. It also works with different rifles like AKs and 308 mags.
