Do you keep you IFAK/Med kit on your war belt or you PC and why?
Thanks, S |

I keep my full IFAK and tourniquet on my belt in a position accessible with both hands. The idea being that I will never wear my plate carrier without the belt, but I could (and often do) wear the belt without the plate carrier.
I also keep an abbreviated IFAK for traumatic bleeding and tourniquet on my chest rig since I use it by itself, but prefer it to be lower profile. |

You guys are so much smarter than the Army. My unit wants us to be dress right dress so we wear it it far over on the left side so that an injured Soldiers could not possilby reach it with their right hand. ![]() ![]() ![]() This is a common practice actually. Its to ensure that anyone administering aid to you doesn't have to search for your IFAK if ever one carries it in the same place. |

IFAK: PC 7:30
Tourniquet: PC 10:00 Tourniquet: warbelt 10:00 Reasoning: if your injured bad enough that you can't use the tourniquet and continue to fight... Someone else will have to work on you. Go ahead and get rid o. The idea that your going patch yourself up using fine motor skills while losing blood and going in to shock. |
| It looks like the Army has a new IFAK on the way, just read this: http://blog.predatorbdu.com/2012/02/naticks-new-ifak.html |
