Looking  for some sort of tactical rig or chest rig to carry my mags and other gear just in case.

Looking for advice on affordable setups and companies.  Being 6ft 280pounds I was wondering if most gear would/should fit or not.

Thanks

The Satch series from HSGI has a lot of adjustment. Make sure you get the HSGI Shoulder Pads, as they're the most comfortable that I have ever used.

I have a Woosatch-A that fits around me in an IBA with all the add-on crap they made us wear in The Ghan in 2008.

But, most chest rigs should fit.

I'm the same exact size as you,and most gear should still fit fine. Of course some will be more adjustable than others, and a persons body type will very even if the same size and weight. I have a buddy who is about the same weight as me, but is much shorter, and carris his weight all in his mid section. I am just big every where! It  would be easier to know which piece of gear in particular you want to get. Chest rigs in general shouldn't be a problem. I have had the Eagle SKD,universal one, and it was just fine. I also have a US Grunt Gear chest rig, that also has plenty of room.

Thanks...Looked into all the companies suggested. I had been looking at the Eagle Chest rigs before some. Think I might go that route, just was not sure it would fit or not.

Thanks

The Eagle chest rig has a lot of adjustment and should fit.  If not it isn't too hard to make strap extensions for it with webbing and some buckles.
