Are THESE "TruSpec ECWCS" parkas and pants the exact same as the issue GoreTex gear? I need a DCU parka and pants and some Woodland pants but clothing sales doesn't carry them anymore and there's no way I can get any issued.

I have a new set in Woodland and a set in some type of desert pattern. They are issue ECWS whatever given to me by my son in law. IM me.

Tru spec does not use Gore-Tex,   A kind of knockoff Gore-Tex material is used instead.........

Is it as good, or is there a reason they are a lot cheaper?

they're OK, my father has a marpat jacket.
Goretex feels a bit more durable and I bet it's better performance but for civilian/range use he never had an issue both in the rain & snow.

IIRC someone made a comparison with a real ECWS and a water test a couple of years ago... I'll see if I can find the link

ETA: found it clickme
