Do I need a riggers belt to hold up my pants and another riggers belt to go through a warbelt type setup?  Thanks

Two belts.  Whatever type of belt you want for your pants, then a rigger/duty belt to run through the warbelt.

A drop leg holster would hook to a warbelt type setup right? Or your pants belt?

I have seen them hooked on the pants belt as well as the belt running through the warbelt via the slits that most warbelts have.

See the massive war belt thread for ideas

Would it be a more personal preference thing then.

Would you want the holster to stay on you when you don't have the warbelt on or do you want the holster to come off with the warbelt?

It looks like a lot of people go with an UBL instead of a drop leg.

I use a G-Code holster on their RTI molle wheel.

As said, determine whether you want to retain the holster when you drop the warbelt.  Keep in mind, however, that muscle memory tends to trump conscious thought when the shit is in the wind.  If you're going to use a drop leg, it's probably a good idea to use it all the time, warbelt or no.  To that end, if it was me, I'd hook the holster to my pants belt.

Disclosure, after some study, I decided to pass on a drop leg, no matter how cool it looked, as the function (based on user testimonials) wasn't what I was looking for.  I've got a holster on the war belt and a secondary that I can shove behind my waist belt for everyday carry that keeps the pistol in the same location.

And, as always, YMMV
