PredatorBDU just put up a $20 discount on this Fleece. It looks like a great price, but does anyone have experience with this jacket? It looks like the ECWCS, but it is a solid color.
$59.99 with code
Code: GENIII20Down

worse. i wear my original spear jacket all the time, i love it. i love my gen 3 because its softer and more lofty, but the wind cuts thru it like butter.

Its meant to. Its part of a layering system. The fleece isn't meant to be used alone. Its meant to be used under the wind shirt, soft shell, or rain shell.

Yes, I know that.. but they do make fleece that has some wind resistance... the Army in there infinite wisdom elected not too... there our days when it would be nice to run just the fleece and not have the slight wind rip thru you if the weather happens to change...

Why the differential in color from the ADS ECWCS if it is Issued?

They are both made from the same Polartec Thermal Pro fabric in the same shade. You can see the ADS version here (Level III). The Propper version appears a bit darker because of camera lighting.
