Thanks for the info.
What I meant by that was the actual name tape above the right pockets on both shirts are very faded almost whitish while the ones on the left side on one shirt is what appears to be a newer style cloth US Army tape, and the other shirt has a sort of silky faded US Army tape. It looks somewhat period correct, but not the same as the actual name tape. I just picked these up for cheap because they were neat and my g/f likes old thick shirts like that for working outside, and what have you. I like the old OD fatigue shirts myself, but these were a small so that won't work for me. No big loss I was just curious because I hate destroying good pieces of history. They're probably just some beater paintball shirts somebody didn't want anymore. Pretty cool regardless. |

Understood.
It appears that you have the polyester-blend fatigue shirts that were issued in the late 70s/very early 80s. Funny, I wore shirts just like those (even had the same patch for a while), and never once thought of them as "cool" |

Wow, the only military shirts at the GoodWill stores where I am have the "US Army" tape in black with yellow letters. Olive drab cloth is so faded it looks like it went through a million washes. Given their age (> 40 years, by my estimate), you might not be far off! |
