For those in the know - Paramedics, Doctors, etc. Are there any temperature requirements to store QuikClot ? I want to keep one of their trauma packs in my car for emergencies, but I live in Georgia and it gets in the high 90s during the summer outside and even hotter in the car. I know QuikClot is used in the Middle East by soldiers in extreme heat, but I wasn't sure if there were stated temperature requirements for the gauze to work properly.
I looked on QuikClots website and searched, but I can't find any mention of storage when it comes to temperature, only the expiration date. Any info you can share? |

I'm no expert... But I'll point out that QuikClot is heavily issued with deployed troops in the field... I doubt they're keeping that shit in a mini-fridge on every Humvee, yet the stuff still seems to work.
But I think the cooler you can keep it, the longer the shelf life will probably be. TR85. |
