After doing quite a bit of research on which pack I wanted, I finally ordered a  coyote brown RAID pack last night.  Any suggestions on what additions and pouches I should put on it?  Pics are always good!

What did you buy it for? What's the mission?

Don't get pals crazy.
First, see if you put everything you want to carry inside first.
Then get external pouches for only frequently/emergency use(d) items.

There is a lot of room in a pack like that.  I would not add any pouches until you pack it with your gear and see if you need any additional storage/organization.

I like to have a small removeable med pouch on the exterior of my packs, like the small ATS med pouch.

There is a whole thread on RAID Packs over on Lightfighter.net, everything from use in the sandbox, to hiking, to BOBs:

My own Coyote RAID, I've got 2 Multicam Sustainment Pouches on the sides, a Supply Captain Multicam Claymore Pouch on the front, and a Multicam Molle Waistpack on the bottom for my bivy or Ecotat.

Get a frame sheet.

As for pouches, asses your needs then get appropriate pouches.  If everything you need to do fits inside the pack, don't junk it up with mpouches just for the cool factor.  The pack has a lot of storage inherent in it.

I had a similar setup. An offcolor Coyote RAID, a couple of two qt collapsible canteens on either side, Claymore pouch on the front and a small med kit above it. They are great packs but it was a little too big for my needs so now it's in the EE.

I wish somone made a RAID scaled down about 25-30% in every dimension.  The concept is great - big opening, four straps to cinch down the load, molle on every face so you can add what you need, good shape and ergonomics, but like you and a lot of people found it is just a bit bigger than I need.  The Cobra Pack was an attempt in that direction, but I think they missed the mark by just making it thinner, most likely so they could use most the same components for volume of sacle production savings.  I really wish someone made a pack that wasn't 12" wide, but more around 9" wide - personally I like having a narrower pack as I find it makes it more nimble for manuevering and moving.

I've found a three day pack with some add on pouches if necessary work better for what I need and allows a little better tailoring of loadout. The RAID is great if you need a lot of the features it offers but I found myself stuffing things in there just because I had extra room.

Ten inches wide.

I would say the TAD litespeed probably fills that smaller bag gap, but they are out of stock and pricy for a smaller pack.

Kifaru E&E is close to what you seek.

The Kifaru is almost exactly what I was looking for, the Supply Captain one looks pretty close too, but they sure could use more pictures of it - hard to tell what it looks like from a single shot of the front.

I looked at the TAD Litespeed but it seems pretty heavy for what it is.

Anyone rigged hydration on/in the Kifaru E&E?

The E&E has a place for a bladder but I have never tried it.

It should, they are made off the same design from what I know.  I believe even an Eagle AIII frame sheet will work.

Figured what the hell, been looking for a good smaller pack for almost a year, finally slapped the credit card down on a multicam E&E tonight.  SI the 4-6 weeks pretty typical, or do they often ship a bit faster?  With any luck I might be able to give it a go at Knob Creek.

I bought mine in July and it was at my door in 18 days. You are going to love the little E&E.

I used an AIII frame sheet in mine, not a perfect fit but it worked. The RAID frame should fit right since the only change was the manufacturer of the pack.

Do you guys consider a frame sheet to be a 'must have' item for the RAID II?

Yes, otherwise it is pretty much a floppy nylon bag that anything inside can and will eventually poke you in the back.

The first spear insert looks comfy. http://www.skdtac.com/FirstSpear_ECP_Internal_Frame_p/3sk.152.htm

If it fits.
