I had an old well used JHRG LLC. Ranger Combat vest. The soft armor was still GTG but the carrier was ragged out. I emailed Beez Combat Systems and they made a custom carrier for me. I traced out the soft armor panels and sent them to BEEZ and had my custom carrier in my hands in 7 days!!! I am very impressed with the craftsmanship, materials and attention to detail. The panels fit perfect and all the features that I had requested were done. If you are in the market for a custom carrier or gear check out BCS..... they make a quality product and the service is great.

Here are some before and after pics

How old is the ballistic material and how has it been stored and subjected the heat, moisture and cold?

The soft armor was out of the carrier for some time before I had the BCS carrier made so the fading on the original did not affect the armor. The armor is around 10 years old, stored in my closet except for deployment time. I am using this for training only, I have new armor for real world stuff.

Thanks for the reviews. I've talked to him about making me a custom helmet cover and a carrier for IOTV pattern armor. That setup looks really nice, I hope there's something similar for the IOTV

I have seen some of their products and they seem to have a great price for the value.

+1 for BCS

I'm sitting in my patrol car as i write this wearing my army OTV in a BCS carrier.  They turned it from a front open to a side open with cummerbund and it's awesome.  I'll have to do a real review sometime.  Definitely worth the money and then some!

It's gonna be a minute before I can get pics up, but in the short term ask any questions you want and I'll just go ahead and say buy it!

Do you have the version with side buckles or velcro, and does it ride better than a stock OTV carrier? How does it feel on the shoulders?

Ever tried the DBT internal cummerbund on a stock OTV vest as a comparison?

How does it account for the armor's original split front opening?  Do the panels overlap internally?  I have a PASGT vest I'd like to modernize to MOLLE.

Inside the carrier Beez sews in a divider ( I don't know how else to describe it) and it holds the split panels in place. I didn't see how it would work but it holds the panels snug. The divider is sewn to the top and bottom of the carrier so the panels can't move.  The split panels overlap about 1-1.5 inches. The panels stay in place by the velcro attachment points inside the carrier and on the panels . I have put my new carrier thru enough now to say that it is Good to Go. The panels have not moved at all.

I just saw a review on their AK47 Chest Rig. Has anyone picked one of these up yet?
