Nice!
I was wondering about GCode doing off the menu work. I was debating between GCode, BT, & Safariland. I'm running the Bladetech TMMS setup right now for my g19 w/tlr-1 & czp01 w/tlr-1. I can also take any BT holster & mount it to the TMMS plate & drop it onto belt, vest, etc. just by ordering another plate/receiver kit. These modular systems are great! |

Quoted: If they do out of catalog work that'd be great. I emailed them a couple weeks ago if they ever planned to offer one and i never heard back. When I get it, i'd be willing to send them out if they were interested in adding it to the lineup but didn't have one. Call there and ask for Scott. When I talked to him he was willing to do custom work for me. We didn't get into price though and I haven't yet taken him up on his offer so I don't know the end details of a transaction of that nature. ST |

ST I emailed Rick a couple weeks ago, but I sent Scott one this today. I'll contact Scott directly if I don't get a response. This isn't a pressing need, but I'd like to get some holster options before I jump into getting one. I've allocated money for a can, and I'm gonna wait till it hits the shelves and I order it before I go get the FNX. G Code also needs some good descriptions of the differences in their holsters and options. |

I wonder if the FN Shooters pack could be adapter with an adapter as an interim solution.
Does G Code need to have a gun for each holster made or is it only when they first develop a holster? If they need a FNX only for reference to start a line of them I'd be willing to send mine in. |

Not to speak for Scott, but he told me they use a CMM to generate a 3D model of the firearm, and use it to reverse engineer the mold halves. Once the molds are made they mold the Kydex & use a CNC machine to trim the Kydex & drill the holes and other features. The CMM process & creating the model are a breeze, but investing the time & money in the mold would be pretty steep, I would say. Not something they would probably do for an obscure gun, I would think. My .02... John |

The FNP isn't all that obscure. It's relatively new, but is slowly gaining a following. The FNX is a product upgraded model intended to replace the FNP line. It's slowly gaining in popularity, but stuff like the lack of holsters is keeping it from being too popular right now.

I have a Serpa for the Ruger,
so it forces me to use the thumb safety. I would really like to get to a holster with retractable hood retention to put the release on the right side with my thumb, & not with my trigger finger. I will keep in touch with Scott and wait for a G-Code XST with RTI, but I will probably go with a GHS make a Kydex holster to do until then. <<<=== Edited: It was past my bedtime when I typed this... Be safe! John |
