After watching Nutnfancy's video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Js3A_-cJEIM I am interested in buying some of these: http://www.diamondbacktactical.com/product/Diamondback-Tactical-Ballistic-Panel-Set-FAPC-Gen-II-Inserts,17391,9.htm

Does anyone know where a civilian can buy these?

Thanks,

Seriously? No one?

I was considering cutting some sort of foam? to make the vest more rigid.  However, for the cost of the soft armor panels, I figured why not?

You don't need to get them from Diamond Back Tactical.  They only sell to law enforcement and military.   Call up Grey Group Training out of Fayetteville, NC and they will hook you up with nice plate backers that will be compatibile with your vest.   They sell twaron, kevlar, and dyneema plate backers based on how expensive you want to go.   Or you can just run some stand alone level 4 plates and not need the backers.

I got all my hard armor plates from bulletproofme.com as their SAPI plates defeat all the rounds that I wanted without the weight of level 4s.

Thanks SKD...

I can easily meet those requirements.  I have my Kansas CCH (the H
stands for Handgun), which involved sending my info to every county
Sheriff's office for background checks, as well as a national check.
Can you get the Diamondback Tactical plates for me?  I know those will
fit, but not sure about any others.  I noticed some similar plates on
your website, but they were nearly double the price and the description
warned against using them alone as armor.

Bulletproof me will take care of you.  I've also used Rhino armor plate backers.  Mind you, I'm a "chairborne ranger" so I've just used them for class and keep a set or two of plates around just because.....
