What cold weather gloves are out there that still will allow you to use your weapons.  Ranging from handgun to bolt action or shotgun.

In the Army we were issued trigger finger mittens, to be worn over the wool glove liner.

That was back in the 70's

I have a set of snowboarding mittens I modded....I cut a hole on the side for my finger to fit through and had my mom sew elastic "vagina lips" so it would seal out the cold a bit better.  Works well enough for the recreational shooting I used it for.  Now though....nothing.

How cold? I bowhunt and you can't wear thick gloves and still be able to shoot and taking them off when it comes time to shoot doesn't work so well. The best thing I have found is wear the best thin gloves I can and use a hand muff. I'm using a hunting one now but I have seen ones from Kifaru, HSGI, and Eagle is supposed to have one out. If it is really cold then you should get some of the USGI extreme cold weather gloves.
