I would ask to see a receipt to ensure that this isn't a "off the back of a truck" vest, since it's mil-issue plates and vest.

I'd stay far away. Someone with 2 posts recently found something... There's a track record.

They're the older setup, but they have Zylon in them if the panels are actually included. Stay away from Zylon and Point Blank. You can do much better for that price.

A few things to consider:

What kind of threat are you looking at? Handgun? Rifle? Fragmentation?

How will you be wearing it? Daily? When SHTF?

Lots of things to consider, as it's far from a "one size (rating) fits all" deal.

I second Bulletproof me.  Go buy your gear from Nick and he will take good care of you.   I got my Paraclete vest and BALCS soft armor from GreyGroupTraining.com, and I got my front, rear, and side SAPI plates from bulletproofme.com   They have great prices.

Check out the tactical vests bulletproofme sells that have all the soft armor already included and they grap some front and rear rifle plates.   I recommend the SAPI plates as they are a couple pounds lighter each and weight is a big factor.

I agree with the post above that you need to identify what types of threats you feel you will face.  If it is just handguns, then a level II or IIIa concealable vest is perfect.  If you face rifle and shotgun, then get some rifle plates that meet the rating you need.
