If it's anything like mine, it's a spare bedroom that houses the safe, my ammo, and gear in the closet....

I've always been told to lay soft armor flat for storage, although hanging it up would be a hell of a lot easier.  Ceramic plates probably don't care either way.  Are you guys hanging up your soft armor, and if so, how has it been affecting the panels?

I use the Eagle Sigma bag (M4 version, which is a few inches longer than the regular Sigma).   This bag is HUGE!  Much larger than it seemed in website photos.  Very strong and durable.  You get what you pay for-  With all the weight of gear, you can't risk blowing seams, zippers or handles/straps.

soft armor gets stored flat, the rest of it gets tossed into a gear bag/box/trunk

One way to store armor is stored upright on wooden crosses.

Range bag + boxes right now. I'm planning on buying a medium size wheeled duffel bag to cart all my shit around in since the amount is growing exponentially...

My gear is in Rubbermaid ActionPackers.  They latch very well for a storage box, they're lockable and black/opaque.

+1 to the Sigma III is a HUGE bag. I was shocked at all the crap I could stuff in there and haul to a class. Love the bag and that's where my gear is stored also.

The bag also has a snapping zipper cover for the main compartment and a padded soft "case" for your M4.

I was packing up my Eagle LE and other assorted pouches/mags/ammo/etc last night.
I just bought this really nifty tote from Wal-mart, and it was on the bed while I was loading it up with my stuff.  My girlfriend was sitting on the bed, and we were BSing about whatever, and she started giggling like a school girl.  I looked up from my little project, and asked her WTF she was laughing about.  She kept laughing, pointed and said "action packer!!!"  I looked at the side of the tote, and sure enough, ACTION PACKER!  She couldn't stop laughing, and said "you're such a dork".

Action Packer totes kick ass!!

It WAS funny at the time, LOL.
