I am on the verge of purchasing a Predator II armor carrier from DBT, but I have no idea how the sizes run. I usually wear a plate carrier, and although both the DBT FAPC in size L and the Eagle PC in L/XL fit me fine, I feel like I should order a smaller size, as armor carriers fit differently.
A while back I wore a buddy's CIRAS, which was a Medium, and it was slightly large on me (although I did not adjust the vest to fit my body, just wore it as he had it). However, I've heard that CIRASes are some of the most adjustable vests out there, and I have heard nothing about DBT armor carrier adjustability. I am 5' 11", 32" waist, 38" chest. I feel as though I am right in the middle of small and medium. Could someone offer a suggestion or a bit of advice? Anything is much appreciated. |

Emailed DBT about that last night, got a response this morning that said the carrier is available as a non-restricted item, without inserts. I've bought from them before, and I know they only sold this as a Mil/LEO restricted vest, but apparently they've changed their policy.
Anyone have any advice on sizing? |

How much do you weigh?
I bought the Predator RBV in 2005 and found their sizing system to be accurate. If you're right on the edge, I'd go with medium - the gear I have from them (the Predator and FAPC) are both adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of shapes and sizes. |

I've got a Praetorean. I'm 6'1" 195# and my large is cinched all the way in. I would definately head more towards the MR if I were you. Now my large FAPC fits perfect. The sales lady I spoke to said the plate carriers run smaller than the full kits.

| I run a Predator II and wear a ML. I am 6'4", 190 lbs, with a 41" chest. All of the adjustments are about in the middle with the vest fitting me just right. In comparison, the rest of my team wears the FAPC, and a Large is just barely big enough to comfortably fit me. |
