I know these have probably been discussed a lot but I had a few questions regarding the Pro-Tec Street Series Elbow Pad and the Alta Tactical Flex Elbow Pads.

For those of you who have used them which do you prefer and why?

Is one better than than the other, i heard that the Velcro comes undone when extensive usage in the mud and dirt so if I could get some input on that id greatly appreciate it thank you.

Never heard of Pro-Tec but Alta are pretty good.
Alta just has good quality and are comfortable.
Hatch are pretty nice as well and can be had for a good price.

I have a set of Alta Knee pads and they kinda run down my legs when i run, and the alta elbow pads look like they don't properly cover the elbow from the pictures on google and various websites, this could be just the pictures though aside from Hatch, would anybody recommend any other type of elbow pads that don't move from your elbows and provide excellent protection

The Altas work well and have been heavily used for years. Get the buckle model, NOT THE VELCRO. Buckles will stay put generally, Velcro slips once dirty.

Hatch and a few other makers have some better ones now, but the Altas are a solid old standby and will serve you well. I've abused the hell out of a couple pairs of Alta kneepads for over a decade or so and the elbowpads on a more limited basis.
