| looking for some 8lb or so, 10x12 fake plates to practice with. just need the weight relly. anybody heard of anything like this? |

Well, if its steel you after, i would hit up a metal yard and get some 1/4 inch plate cut and duct tape the snot out of it. Ceramic is a bit harder as its almost 1" thick. Best guess would be Home depot and get some wood cut. Might find some in the drop bin cheap have the guy it for you, then hit the steel yard for weight. Screw them together and yoru good.
Biggest thing I have found with cermaic plates is the width. it does alter things a bit. |

IMO the weight is not the real concern for me ,In my experience the real drawback was the "bulkiness" of the ceramic what really caught my attention ,
get some of the airsoft SAPI plates on ebay ,they are like $20.00 shipped .and run some weapon drills with them. |
