I needed a few, and www.diytactical.com was out of what I needed, so I went straight to the source and got free samples - I think they're set up for big bulk orders, so they sent me 3 of everything I wanted, free of charge.  IIRC you can request up to 5 samples of everything.

You have one in Conshohocken and one in Pittsburgh.

There are other climbing/camping/hunting/oudoors stores that carry this sort of stuff for repairing kit.  Check your yellow pages.
